Kenneth John Peinado

Kenny Peinado is currently a Marketing Manager for Chevron Lummus Global (CLG), a position he attained in 2008.

He began his 24 year career with Chevron in 1987 as a Design Engineer at Chevron U.S.A. Products Company's refinery in Richmond, California.

After about 3 years, Mr. Peinado transferred to Chevron Headquarters in San Francisco, California, for an18 month assignment in the Corporate Human Resources department.

In 1992, he returned to the Richmond refinery, where he spent the next 4 years in the Environmental and Safety Division and played a key role in obtaining permits for major projects required to comply with stringent California environmental regulations. Kenny was also a key part of an industry coalition to work with the local San Francisco Bay Area Air Quality Management District to successfully make their required NOx reduction regulation more reasonable.

In 1996, Kenny moved into Operations and was the Process Engineer for the MTBE, TAME and Propylene Polymer plants.

In 1998, he transferred to Chevron Technology Marketing as a Marketing Specialist (first in San Francisco and then in Richmond) and has remained in this group since then and advanced with increasing responsibilities until achieving his present position. As Marketing Manager for CLG (a joint venture company with the Chevron half being a part of Chevron Technology Marketing), Kenny is responsible for all hydroprocessing technology licensing and catalyst sales in Central and South America, the Caribbean and parts of North America.

Although born in Brazil to his American mother and Bolivian father, Kenny grew up in California. He received a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering at the California State Polytechnic University at Pomona, in 1987.
